William C. “Butch” Hall, loving husband and dad, passed away November 21, 2019 in Longview. He was born December 29, 1942 in Madrid, Iowa to John and Frances (Sullivan) Hall, and moved at a young age to Los Angeles, California, where he attended grade school. He moved to Longview in 1955 where he attended Monticello Middle School and graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1960. He worked at Cascade News for 37 years before retiring from Franz Bakery in 2010. He served in the Army Reserves from 1964 to 1972.
He was known for his sense of humor and love of music. He enjoyed fishing, photography, auto body work and painting. He also enjoyed woodworking and built many projects with his friend, Ron Lundeby. One of his favorite pastimes was walking his granddog, Buster, at Lake Sacajawea.

He is survived at home by his wife of 54 years, Sandy (Noblin) Hall; son Michael J. Hall (Tonia) of Longview; a niece whom he raised as a daughter, Karen Noblin (Joel) of Salmon Creek; sister Pat Larabee of Bellflower, California; 2 sisters in law, LouAnn Fisher of Longview and Linda Noblin of Jay, Oklahoma.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; brother in law, Jerry Noblin of Jay, Oklahoma; and sister and brother in law, Mary and Frank Silva.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Steele Chapel, Longview Memorial Park, Monday, December 9, at 1 p.m.
