Sharon Lee Wornick, 75, passed away on July 25, 2019, at Americana Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born Jan. 8, 1944, in Grand Junction, CO, to David and Norma (Staats) Spreier. She graduated from Grand Junction High School.
Sharon married Carl J. Wornick in May of 1965 and later was divorced in 1974 after nine years of marriage.

Sharon attended business school in Denver, CO, and later worked as a secretary for International Paper and Hampton Tree Farms until she retired. She was a hardworking, strong and independent woman who enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with family.
She is survived by a daughter, Dannell Wornick; a granddaughter, Tiearra Conaway; two great-grandchildren, Parker and Ariana Conaway; a brother, Dwaine Spreier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Githens; and two sisters, Evelyn Dills and Carolyn Collins.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Steele Chapel.
