Roy Raymond Trapp, age 56, passed away May 16, 2019, at his home in Kelso, WA. Roy was born March 17, 1963, in Everett to Raymond and Lorraine Trapp. Roy lived in Everett until 1975, and then moved to Cowlitz County, where he spent the rest of his life. He graduated in Toutle, WA, in 1981 and worked all his life as a logger, up until his death. In 2005, Roy married Colleen Parks in Mexico. Roy was a member of the Castle Rock Eagles. He loved hunting, fishing, making knives and working on his Ford Bronco. He especially loved spending time with friends and family. Roy loved working and then returning home for a cold beer. Roy was loved by all who met him. He always spoke his mind and never sugar-coated anything. He was outgoing and enjoyed his job as a yarder engineer working for Jeff Gould at Diamond Timber.
Roy is survived by his wife Colleen Trapp, of Kelso; brother Richard Trapp, of Kelso; daughter Rylee Trapp, of Toutle; son Dalton Trapp, of Castle Rock; step-daughters Brittney Jeffers, of Palmer, AL, and Brinna Burgy, of Medford, OR; step-son Mathew Burgy, of Palmer, AL; grandsons Mason, Rowdy, Easton, Ryland, Colton, Cameron; and granddaughter Harmony. He is preceded in death by his mother and father.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 8, at 1 p.m. at the Castle Rock Eagles.
