1960—June 19, 2019
Robin (Robbie) Lyn Carnes passed away at home on June 19, 2019. She was born to Robert (Bob) Richards and Esther Richards (Payne) in Longivew in 1960. She graduated from Kelso High in 1978, and later from LCC with a degree in Early Childhood Development. She was married in 1980 to Brian Grose (and later divorced) with whom she had her only child Kraig, and in 2005 she married the love of her life Kenneth (Ken) Carnes. She is survived by her husband Ken, her son Kraig (Crystal) Grose and three grandchildren, Bradley, Brendan and Emarey.
She loved family, and treasured those times spent together. Her happiest moments were those spent gathered around for a family get-together. Her grandchildren knew her as grandma Robbie, they loved and cherished her completely. She loved including her grandchildren in crafting so much that every visit brought new crafting adventures in the form of kits and projects. She volunteered countless hours with Longview School District while Kraig was in school, involved in the PTO, volunteering in the classroom, or office, and designing several yearbooks.

Robin, was an extremely creative and talented woman. She not only embraced nearly every craft known, but also perfected them. Her knitting never had a missed stitch (or she would tear the blanket out to fix it), her baskets were perfect, and her quilts were gorgeous.
She will be remembered as a compassionate woman, who while quiet and reserved, was full of love for those around her. She was truly altruistic, and cared more for others than herself.
Friends and family new and old are invited to Robin’s celebration of life which will be held at the Longview Moose Lodge on July 13 at 3 p.m.
