Becky Lynn Riepe, 60, of Longview entered the gates of Heaven Dec. 30, 2018, after a two-year battle with ALS.
She was born July 26, 1958, in Fort Lawton, Wash., and graduated from Toutle Lake High School in 1977. In her youth Becky was active in Brownies and Girl Scouts. She loved serving others and was a devoted volunteer, participating in Love Inc., Servant Week, and Winlock Egg Days. She was optimistic, spontaneous and loved Jesus. Her greatest joy was time spent with her sons, grandchildren and friends. She also had many foster children over the years. Becky retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2009, and was a local union shop steward.
Becky is survived by her sons, Levi Richardson (Amanda), Alan Jerry “A.J.” Richardson Jr., and David Schiedermayer; her grandchildren, Josiah, Natalia, Camron, Ava, Parker, Shylee, Brighton and Bristol; a great-granddaughter, Ember; her husband, Steve Riepe; her father, Verne Hoffmann Sr.; and four siblings, Terry Bain, Suzzette Hoffmann, Verne Hoffmann Jr., and Geoff Hoffmann.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty (Page)Hoffmann; and a sister, Michelle Hoffmann.
A celebration of Becky’s life, including a potluck, is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Alston Corner Assembly of God in Rainier. The Rev. Steve Berry will officiate.
