Longtime Longview resident, Phyllis Margerie (Wildmoe) Ferguson passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2019. She was 95 years old. Phyllis was born in Ganvick, Minn. on May 27, 1923 to Albert and Mathilda Wildmoe. She moved with her family in 1941 to Kelso. She worked in the Kaiser shipyards in Vancouver during WWII as a welder alongside with her father and sister, Jeanette.
She met and married James Ferguson in 1946. They were founders and owners of Jim Ferguson Construction for many years. They had 6 sons.
She was a long time member of Emmanual Lutheran Church and past president of Longview Ladies of Elks. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and watching her grandchildren play sports.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, James Ferguson, sons, Jeff, Jon and younger sister, Gloria Wakefield.
She is survived by sister, Jeanette Bonner, Kelso; 4 sons, Keith (Bonnie) of Longview, Terry (Jan) of Hammond, Ore.; Mark (Lori) of Las Vegas; Joe (Maureen) of Ridgefield; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in the local area.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Reception to follow at the church.
