Opal “Sue” Williamson had the uncanny ability to make everyone feel like they were her favorite. Born Oct. 16, 1937, in Dunlow, W.Va, Sue was the seventh of 13 children born to the late Henry and Goldie Stamper.
Sue passed into the arms of her loving savior on Jan 7, 2019, surrounded by her loving husband of 62 years, G.V., children Bryan Williamson (Linda), and Yvonne Ollila (Russ); grandchildren Lindsy Read (Dan), Andrea Mabbott (Casey), Karli McCann (Sean), and Bryce Williamson (Katy); and great-grandchildren Liam, Ronan and Gryffin.
Sue’s love was teaching children in Sunday school at Robert Grey Church in Longview, and visiting others, sharing God’s love.
She was preceded in death by brothers Andy Lee and Tom; and sisters Joyce and Mary Jo. Surviving siblings are Jewell, Bernard, Jerry, June, Kay, Betty, Dale and Patty.
Sue will be laid to rest in Ocean Park, Wash., near the ocean she loved. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Ocean Park Community Church, 26709 Vernon Ave.
