Margaret Evelyn Hoggatt, 98, of Kelso died Nov. 26th at St. John Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 10, 1920, in Knox County, Neb., to Oliver and Mary (Hinman) LaCroix. She graduated from high school in Rapid City, S.D., and married Bernerd Hoggatt in 1941. Marge was a homemaker raising six children who survive her. Bernerd predeceased her in 2000.
Margaret was a gifted artist and enjoyed several mediums, especially acrylic, even publishing her own tole painting pattern books.
She is survived by her children, Jeannie Storedahl (Jerry), Robert Hoggatt (Judy), Candace LaCroix, Debbie Hulse (Dave Cunningham), Daniel Hoggatt and David Hoggatt (Laura); 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was the last surviving of nine siblings, having lost her sister, Agnes Mousel just one day before she passed. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky; a grandson, Kenneth Storedahl; and a great-granddaughter, Michelle Fistolera.
A rosary is planned for 9:30 a.m. and a funeral Mass for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kalama. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Private burial will take place at the Kalama IOOF Cemetery.
