On Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, Margaret Ann Arrington, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 80 surrounded by her loving family.
Born Nov. 1, 1938, in Benton, AR, to Lewis and Myrtle Rogers. Margaret had one brother, James Rogers. Her family moved to the Pacific Northwest, where she met and fell in love with Lenden Arrington, they were married June 8, 1957. Together they raised three children, Kimberly, James and Jeff. After the passing of Lenden in 1984, she dedicated her life to providing for her children and grandchildren.
Margaret had a passion for her beloved chihuahuas, Koko and Jack Daniels. She also enjoyed reading, volunteering and needlework. She enjoyed everything from knitting, crocheting to embroidery. It was a rare sight to see her without knitting needles or a book in her hands. She also loved to volunteer at the Salvation Army Christmas Center. She dedicated 15 years of her life to bringing joy to others at the center. She was also very involved in her church and was known for her hats. She had a distinct collection of hats and people admired her presence on Sundays, she was regularly complimented on them.

Margaret is survived by her three children, Kimberly (Rod Hefley) Chambers, James (Kay) Arrington and Jeff (Annette) Arrington. She also had six grandchildren, Joshua Parker, Amber (Drew) Davis, Nichole (Kyle) Fiala, Shelby (Shane Galloway) Arrington, Jamie (Justin) Curry and Johnna Knapp. Margaret was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Allison and Jacob Fiala, Sophia and Madeline Davis, Parker Galloway, Raelyn (Tyler) Heinlen and Jayden Curry.
A viewing will be held at Hubbard Funeral Home in Castle Rock on Monday, August 26, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Whittle and Hubbard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Margaret’s name to Community Home Health & Hospice.
