Mable F. Holt, 89, of Longview passed away August 2, 2019 at Hospice. She was born in Gravely, Arkansas to Marion & Ethel Wheeler (Wagner), and lived in the local area for 77 years.
Mabel graduated from R.A. Long and Cashier’s Training at LCC. She was a nurse at a doctor’s office, checker at a grocery store for 16 years, and manager of Holt’s Market for 8 years. She retired in 1985, and was a union member.
Mable enjoyed line dancing, cooking, baking, sewing & shopping. She was always friendly, caring, and if you left her table hungry it was your fault!

Jerry Holt and Mable were married in 1949.
Survivors include son, Gary Holt of Longview; 2 grandsons, Nathan Holt of Bothell and Victor Friedman of Longview; granddaughter, Nicole Campbell of Longview; 4 nieces Ellen Boursaw of Rainier, Jackie Wilson of Kelso, Judy Mobride of Longview, and Sandy Katalla; many more relatives, Ronny and Judy, Ennis, Beverly, Jerry Davidson, Robert Wallis, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry.
Her funeral service will be at Steele Funeral Chapel, 12 noon, Monday, August 12 with Pastor Giles Jr. officiating. Viewing is 9 a.m.—11:30 a.m. August 12 at Steele Funeral Home.
