Losia Mae Spaulding, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at home. She was born to Roy and Rachel Truex in Formosa, Kan., on February 22, 1936. Losia married Daniel Leroy Spaulding Sr. in 1956 and lived in Everett prior to moving to Castle Rock, where they lived and raised their three sons and one daughter. They were married for 60 years prior to Daniel’s death in 2017.
Losia attended R.A. Long High School and Lewis and Clark College in Portland. She worked at Longview Fibre Company prior to becoming a very successful real estate agent for over 30 years, working for Coldwell Banker, Century 21 and Windermere. She loved her career as a real estate agent and had a great entrepreneurial spirit and honored the companies she worked for with awards and recognition. She held the role of President of the Realtor’s Association and was involved in many community events.
When she was not involved in the community, the family spent their time traveling to Arizona to Spring Training, which they loved.
Losia is survived by two sons, Stanley, of Longview, and Michael, of Tacoma; four grandchildren, Matthew, Josh, Skylar and Travis; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Cody; sisters Ruth Bartolus, of Longview, Shirley Robbins, of Tacoma, and Barbara Williams, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Spaulding Sr.; son Daniel Spaulding Jr.; Daughter Tammie Aase; parents Roy and Rachel Truex.
There will be no funeral service.
