Leonard Paul Kutch, 80, died at home in Kalama, WA, on June 20, 2019, surrounded by his family, two months after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He was born in Michigan City, IN, on Jan. 14, 1939, to Paul and Irene (Levendoski) Kutch. Len graduated from Marquette Catholic High School (1957) and from Purdue University (BS Mechanical Engineering, 1965). On Feb. 10, 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Joanna Christman. His career in mechanical engineering focused on rail cars and logging equipment. He retired in 2002.
Len enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, and playing cards. He loved his Catholic faith and brought many people to Christ through the RCIA program.

Len is survived by his wife, Mary, of 57 years; a daughter, Jodi Hadaller (Paul); two sons, Dan Kutch (Keri) and Tim Kutch; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be on Wednesday July 3, 2019, at 11 a.m., St. Mary Catholic Church 1520 N. 65th Ave. Ridgefield, WA, preceded by a rosary at 10:30 a.m. A reception luncheon will follow in the church hall.
