Larry was born to Lou and Zola (Osborn) Chadderton in Longview, and attended Kelso schools and Lower Columbia College.

Larry served in the Navy, stationed in Japan. He was a millwright foreman at Weyerhaeuser. He married Rose Mae LaBerge in 1948, his wife of 69 years, who survives him at Canterbury Park.

They were married at St. Mary’s in Kelso, where they sang in the choir, and the last 25 years attended St. Rose in Longview. Larry was a great lover of music and the outdoors, and enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses, and hunting and fishing. He traveled all over the U.S. and Europe, and spent winters in Yuma for 15 years.

Larry is survived by two brothers, Charles and Dennis; a sister, Barbara; a daughter, Marie; a son, Michael; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his loving Canterbury family.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Louie; an infant son, Ricky; and a daughter, Sherry.

A funeral Mass is planned for 11 a.m. (rosary 10:30) Thursday at St. Rose Catholic Church, with a reception following.
