Kathleen Marie Harris passed away Feb. 3, 2019, at home surrounded by family at her side.
She was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Cathlamet, to Ole and Borghild Holland. She graduated from Wahkiakum High School and later moved to Longview and attended Lower Columbia College.
She and the love of her life, Frank Harris were married 52 years and raised six children.
Katie’s life revolved around supporting her children’s and grandchildren’s equestrian activities and sporting events. She loved camping and enjoyed entertaining family and friends, playing the piano, and dancing the two-step with Frank. She took pride in her garden, canning, flowers, baking and sewing.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Borghild Holland; her husband, Frank; two brothers, Max Holland and Raymond Holland; two sisters, June Svensen and Phyllis Andersen; and a daughter, Gayle Seiler.
She is survived by a brother, Gordon Holland (Marie); five children, Joni Jurvakainen, Connie Green (Jeff), Jim Harris (Barb), Ed Harris (Lisa), and Tom Harris; a son-in-law, Tom Sieler; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary is planned for 10:30 a.m. and a funeral Mass for 11 a.m. Feb. 15 at St. Rose Catholic Church with a luncheon to follow in the Parish Hall. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Longview Memorial Park.
