Jerry Burke Parker was born June 10, 1930, to Walter and Julia Parker in Longview, WA. He passed June 29, 2019, in Longview. Educated in the Lowell and Everett Public School System, he was a varsity starter on the Everett football team and enjoyed sports throughout his life. During the summers of his youth, he worked for many local farms and the forest service. He graduated from Everett high school in 1949. He served in the army in both the infantry and artillery units. Upon his discharge, he went to work at Weyerhaeuser, a majority of which was spent in the planer mill, until his retirement in 1992. He was preceded in death by a brother Dick and sister-in-law Lola Parker, and a sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Larry Gulle. He is survived by a nephew Larry (DeeDee) Gulle, niece Jacki (Arlen) LaBeau and niece Judy (Bob) Haverman. In lieu of a funeral, Jerry wished that his ashes be spread up north where he had many fond memories and will be honored!
