Frances P. “Fran” Wolf

Frances P. Wolf, 91, of Kelso passed away Feb. 5, 2018, at the Hospice Care Center, reuniting with her beloved husband, Larry.
She was born March 17, 1926, in Okmulgee, Okla., to Charles D. and Nell (Clark) Foster. Fran graduated from high school in Milwaukie, Ore., in 1944, and attended a modeling school for a year.
Fran moved to the local area from Milwaukie in 1952. She was introduced to Larry Wolf by mutual friends, and they married in Kelso June 26, 1955.
She worked as a medical assistant in Longview for various doctors, including Dr. Norquist, Dr. Starr and Dr. Bishop, retiring in 1991. Fran couldn’t go anywhere without someone reaching out to talk to her. Fran was highly respected and cherished by all. She was an inspiration to our community. All who knew her loved her.
Fran loved flowers, gardening, traveling to Hawaii, Reno, and the beach with family and friends. She also loved dancing with Larry at the Elks Lodge. Fran made it a priority that no one left her presence without feeling better about themselves. Family was her life. She was a kind, compassionate, and loving woman who put her family and all loved-ones before herself.
Fran is survived by four daughters, Monica Garrett (Paul) of Long Beach, Wash., Garnis Adkins (Steve) of Kelso, Dana Taylor (Steve) of Vancouver, and Tamara Sari of Longview; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Lichty, Jacob Lichty, Kristopher Kingston and Brea Armbruster, all of Seattle, Dylan Taylor, Jesse Taylor, Joe Taylor, Davin Kingston and Morgan Kingston, all of Vancouver, and Brandon Kingston of Longview; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Wolf in 2013; a son, Steve Kingston; and a sister, Dorothy Wilson.
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Steele Chapel. Fran will laid to rest beside Larry at Longview Memorial Park.
