Nov. 5, 1927 — March 8, 2019

Duane Wells, long-time Kalama resident, passed away March 8, 2019 in Longview.

He is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Reed (Frank) of Kalama, Carolyn Terry (Bill) of Silverdale, Wash., Marlene Easley (Michael) of Bellingham, Wash., and Cathy Hutchinson (Chuck) of Longview; a sister, Mary Lou Jensen of Poulsbo, Wash.; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Theo Wells; his wife of 43 years, Zeola Wells; and a sister, Darlene Graham.

Duane served in the Navy during World War II, and was the owner of Duane Wells Chevron in Kalama until his retirement in 1982.

A celebration of Duane’s life is planned from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at the AWPPW Hall, 724 15th Ave., in Longview.
