David Michael Collins, age 60, passed away on Aug. 4, 2019, at Peacehealth Medical Center. David was born Feb. 18, 1959, in Longview, WA, to Nolin and Avis Collins. He attended R.A. Long High School and lived in Castle Rock for more than 20 years. David served in the U.S. Army and worked in sales and service for STS Tire Service. Dave loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors. His pastimes included hunting and fishing. He was very kind and loving. He loved spending time with his family. He loved people and was all around an easygoing person.

On May 18, 2001, David married Rochelle Collins in Castle Rock, WA. He is survived by his wife Rochelle Collins, of Castle Rock; daughter Nicole Collins, of Longview; stepdaughters Misty Bottorff, of Coos Bay, OR, Debrah (Paul) Curtis, of Castle Rock, Katherine Goecker and Anna Leinum; stepson Kenny Kretzer; mother Avis Collins, of Longview; brother Willie Collins, of Longview; sisters Teia (Tim) Brindley, Eloyce (Pete) Anderson and Cindy (Jerry) Jensen, all of Longview; granddaughters Hannah Anderson and Sammy Murray, of Kelso; grandsons Dakota and Aaron, Michael Murray, of Kelso, and Austin and Owen Curtis, of Castle Rock; and numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father Nolin Collins and daughter Casey Collins.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.
