Danny Pinard

Born Oct. 3, 1954, to Betty (Reynolds) and LeRoy (Sonny) Pinard of Castle Rock. Danny graduated from Toutle Lake High School in 1972. He was hired as a choker setter with Weyerhaeuser after his 18th birthday, resulting in a career spanning 43 years and a retirement in 2015.

Danny married Lisa (Dye) Pinard on Feb. 6, 1976, settling on family property where he was born and raised. Lisa and Danny were joined by two children, Ty Joseph and Casea Danielle. He was an avid bowler, bowling on the Weyerhaeuser league team with his dad and brothers. Danny loved hunting, fishing and racing. He enjoyed NASCAR and his trips to the races. After retirement, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Danny passed away at Hospice with Lisa by his side on September 5.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lisa; son Ty Pinard, of Castle Rock; daughter-in-law Shavon Keller, of Longview; son-in-law Beau Little, of Kelso; grandson Clayton Little; granddaughter Aryauna Keller; brothers Mike Pinard of Castle Rock, Donald Pinard of Long Beach area; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jody and Danita Dieter, of Longview; brother-in-laws Craig Dye, of Vancouver, and Scott (Angela) Dye, of Salem; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Daughter Casea Little, niece Angie Pinard, great-niece Julia Hiatt, sister-in-law Kathy Pinard, brother Charley and his parents preceded him in death.

Celebration of life will be held at Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home, 301 Cowlitz Way, Kelso on Sept. 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, 1035 11th Ave., Longview, WA, 98632. Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
