Christopher Brant chose to end his life on Aug. 11, 2018.
He was born in St. Helens, Ore., to Bruce and Mary (Wolford) Brant. He graduated from Mark Morris High School in 1999. Upon graduation he enlisted with the armed forces. He proudly served with the Army for almost eight years, including two tours in Iraq before being honorably discharged in November 2006.
In 2007 Christopher entered the Boilermakers apprenticeship program and worked for the Boilermakers Local 502 for 10 years.
He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, camping, and especially riding his motorcycle. When he wasn’t outdoors, his pastime was video games.
Christopher is survived by his father, Bruce Brant; two brothers, Brian and Neil; and a sister, Donica.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Wolford) Brant; and his grandparents, Lewis and Barbara Brant, and Dick and Thelma Wolford.
A graveside service is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will gathering for conversation and refreshments at the home of Bruce and Cheryn Brant, 906 S 3rd Ave., in Kelso after the service.
