Charles Mack Powell, 75, of Longview passed away May 8, 2019. He was born June 1, 1943 to Charles Mack and Viola (Cope) Powell in Perry, FL. He has been a local resident for 69 years, and attended R. A. Long and LCC.
Charles was a former business owner of Chuck’s Grocery, and owner-operator of Tardy Daycare.
Charles liked to bird hunt in Eastern WA with his friends, liked shooting pool, micro-managing his family, joking with everyone and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were his pride and joy.
In 1970, Charles married Julie, who survives him at home.
Also surviving are his son, Brett; 4 daughters, Renee, Regina, Kori, and Kellie; 7 grandkids, Cassandra, Gage, Madysen, Douglas, Mackynzee, Kamryn and Shyla; and 3 great grandkids, Jaxon, Ellie, and Carter.
Charles was preceded in death by both parents, his siblings, and oldest son, Buddy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 8th, at Valley Christian Fellowship with Pastor Lance Cadell officiating, Following service will be a potluck at Kelso Eagles.
