Bill Deal of Kalama was born to William “Red” and Gwendolyn (Martin) Deal in Cheyenne, Wyo. He graduated from high school in California, served in the Air Force, and completed an electrician’s apprenticeship. Bill retired after 40-plus years as a journeyman electrician.
The smartest thing he ever did was convince Mary Hunter to be his bride. They enjoyed league bowling. Bill also enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs, playing pool, and time with his fellow union members.
