KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (AP) -- Jhonathan Diaz allowed just two hits over 6 1/3 innings, leading the Greenville Drive over the Kannapolis Intimidators in a 2-0 win on Wednesday.
Hunter Smith got Alex Call to ground out with a runner on second to end the game for his ninth save of the season.
Diaz (7-6) struck out seven and walked one to pick up the win.
Greenville scored its runs when Brett Netzer hit an RBI single in the first inning and Roldani Baldwin hit a solo home run in the third.
Luis Martinez (9-3) went six innings, allowing two runs and six hits to take the tough loss in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out six and walked one.
The Intimidators were blanked for the 16th time this season, while the Drive's staff recorded their 13th shutout of the year.
With the win, Greenville improved to 9-2 against Kannapolis this season.
