Those Hilanders beat Fort Vancouver 35-14 to snap the losing skid and start a seven-game win streak. It’s not known the last time Kelso started 0-4. Evergreen has won two games, two fewer than it won the past three seasons combined. Brandon Bea has completed 34 of 63 passes for 413 yards and three TDs, including 10 to Green for 202 yards and two scores. They host a Toledo team coming off an anemic offensive performance (105 yards vs. Forks). Ilwaco has struggled offensively as well, although Tom Odneal flashed big-play potential last week with a 75-yard TD strike from Eric McMillan. The Indians have racked up more than 450 miles in their first two road games to Stevenson and White Salmon, and are faced with a 200-mile round trip to Ilwaco for the 1A Trico affair.

The Ducks ran for 366 of their 394 total yards against Mossyrock, with Dalton Phillips collecting 60 yards on seven carries. Napavine rushed for 286 of its 423 total yards against Onalaska. Kyler Hazen, RB, Mossyrock: Hazen had 26 carries for 114 yards and a TD, and returned a kickoff 78 yards to paydirt against TL.

Outlook: This could be the week Winlock snaps its 22-game losing skid. Winlock’s last victory over Mossyrock came in 2010, but both teams come into tonight’s matchup reeling. The Cardinals have been outscored 157-0 this season in losses to Raymond, Wahkiakum and Morton/White Pass. Winlock had 43 total yards against Raymond, including 24 rushing yards for Chance Fisher. The Vikings suited up only 19 players last week. Mossyrock, which has been outscored 102-55 in its three losses, rushed for 142 of its 164 total yards against TL.

The last time the Columbians lost three straight, they rebounded with a nine-game win streak that ended with a 40-26 triumph over Santiam Christian in the Oregon 3A state title game. Rainier is currently ranked 20th in Class 3A, and faces a stern test in unbeaten Washougal. The Panthers have outscored opponents 98-7, including shutout wins over Hudson’s Bay and Fort Vancouver.
