We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the candidates who agreed to meet with the Editorial Board and regret that time and circumstances didn’t allow us to meet with more of them. In most cases, we offer state, regional and local endorsements only after an opportunity to meet with the principals in the race.

We’d also like to thank our readers for a bumper crop of letters to the Editor. Even though we’ve been attempting to publish as many as possible, it’s obvious to us at this point that we will not be able to print them all — even all those that conformed to our guidelines on length and content. We will continue to publish readers’ election-related comments and personal endorsements through Nov. 6, the deadline for voting.

If you have yet to vote, we urge you to exercise your right to do so.
