Lewis County sheriff deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Roe Road in Winlock Wednesday night for a possible burglary in progress. Upon arriving, the deputies found Curtis Jay Farrier, 51, of Winlock removing frozen meat products valued at $300 from a freezer in his neighbor's detached garage. His coat and backpack were also stuffed with meat products.
During the investigation, Farrier confessed that he had entered the garage on two previous occasions to steal meat, according to the Lewis County sheriff's office. He was also found to be in possession of a white crystal substance, which later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Farrier was arrested and booked into Lewis County Jail for three counts of burglary in the second degree and for violating the uniform controlled substances act.
