Remnants of the Colvin Creek fire east of Woodland and north of Lewis River Road apparently reignited in Tuesday's heat, officials say.
Four acres were burning as of Tuesday evening, and it's too early to know how quickly it could be contained, Clark County Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy said.
Pushed by winds from the east, the fire had jumped a line cut during previous firefighting efforts.
There was no information available on threats to homes.
The fire had burned 100 acres of state-managed land last month in very steep terrain.
Three men have been charged with igniting that blaze.
