It's time to go nuts for the Seventh Annual Squirrel Fest at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Longview Civic Circle
This year's festivities will kick off with a 5K Happy Kids Fun-Run Walk, Circus Cascadia events and art in the park. A parade will start at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Lower Columbia College on Maple Street and go past the post office to the Civic Circle.
Throughout the day there will be 50 booths of vendors and food concessions, plus games and activities, and a karaoke contest at 3 p.m. The beer and wine garden will be open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Live music from rock bands Five Guys Named Moe will start at 5:30 p.m. and blues-rock band Slow Ride will perform at 9 p.m. Concerts cost $10. There is a small fee for the beer and wine garden, but the rest of the event is free.
