Randolph Lee Pritchard, 51, of Rainier was sentenced to more than six years in prison Wednesday for a 2015 second-degree manslaughter charge.
According to the St. Helens Chronicle, Pritchard assaulted Christopher Heller, 30, with a blunt object in July 2015 in Rainier. Heller died a week later from his injuries in a hospital. Columbia County District Attorney Jeff Auxier told the newspaper that evidence suggested the dispute was over property.
The Chronicle said Pritchard turned himself into law enforcement in March 2016 and pled guilty to second-degree manslaughter.
According to a representative of the Columbia County Circuit Court, Pritchard also faces $200 in fines and three years of post-prison supervision.
