Rape — A woman told Kelso police Monday that she ran to The Daily Store at 405 Pacific Ave. for help after she escaping from a home where she had been held against her will by a man known to her, according to a dispatch report. The victim, who came into the store just before 10 p.m., said the man raped and physically abused her, the report said. The woman also said the man chased her to the store and threatened to inject her with heroin and hurt her family and friends, according to the report. Kelso Police Captain Darr Kirk said police are investigating the case as a domestic assault, and no arrests have been made yet.

Theft summons — Herbert Frank Boone, 56, of Vancouver was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail Tuesday on a summons for second-degree retail theft. He was released on his own recognizance.

Drug summons — Sean Gunnar Pedersen of Longview was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail Tuesday on a summons for a felony drug violation. He was released on his own recognizance.

Domestic assault arrest — Kelso police arrested Diamond Thia Pruitt, 38, of Kelso Tuesday on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and violating a protection order (domestic violence).

Drug arrests

• The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office arrested Barry Gene Eslick, 44, of Longview Wednesday on suspicion of a felony drug violation, obstructing a law enforcement officer and first-degree driving with a suspended license.

• The Washington State Patrol arrested David Ryan Cooper, 42, of Longview Wednesday on suspicion of a felony drug violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• 100 block of Haussler Road, Kelso. Vegetables from a garden. Tuesday.

• Allen Street Bridge, Kelso. Tuesday.

• 700 block of Davidson Avenue, Woodland. Tuesday.
