In preparation for the bridge decking project on the bridge connecting Cathlamet and Puget Island, Washington State Department of Transportation will host a public open house on March 21.
The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Norse Hall, 144 State Highway 409 on Puget Island, according to a WSDOT press release. WSDOT staff will use the open house to discuss the construction schedule and traffic impacts.
Workers this Friday and Monday will temporarily relocate the osprey nest on the steel truss bridge. Construction work, which will include painting the span, is expected to start in April.
