A Longview man who pleaded guilty to second-degree child molestation was sentenced Thursday to two years in prison and three years probation.
Ryan Brown, 28, was arrested Nov. 8 by Cowlitz County sheriff’s deputies after an 11-year-old girl reported that Brown touched her sexually on several occasions, according to court documents. The girl reported Brown also showed her pornographic videos and had “threatened to kill anyone she ever told,” the documents add.
Upon his arrest, Brown denied touching the girl. He agreed to an Alford plea on Jan. 12 in which he acknowledged the prosecutor had enough evidence to convict him but did not admit guilt himself. Brown’s other charge of first-degree child molestation was dropped.
An order for sexual assault protection was also filed Thursday.
