Both the Longview and Kelso school boards will hold regularly scheduled meetings Monday evening. 

Kelso's meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the district office, located at 601 Crawford St., Kelso. Agenda items include updates to nonresident student policies, approval of certificated and classified employment and a request for bids to replace Kelso High School's stadium fire alarm system. Funds have already been budgeted in the district's capital improvement plan to complete the project, which is estimated to cost $100,000. 

The Longview School Board will begin its meeting at 7 p.m. in the district office, located at 2715 Lilac St., Longview. 

The board is expected to approve a list of summer maintenance projects, including new roofs on the district's bus garage, Mark Morris High School's robotics lab, part of the district's business office and on the gym entry at R.A. Long High School. Other projects include HVAC control upgrades and updated fire alarms at Robert Gray Elementary. A full project list is available on the board's agenda at

The board is also expected to approve its final facilities master plan, which will be submitted to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction for approval.
