Final candidates for Woodland Police chief will be available to meet and greet members of the public next week.
The reception will be held in the Woodland Middle School Commons, 755 Park St. in Woodland on from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 8. The finalists will be interviewed by panels comprised of City Council, city staff and members of the community.
The finalists will also present short introductions of themselves and will be available for brief conversations with the public.
The application window for the position closed Feb. 20. Applicants were reviewed and finalists selected "based on their experience, leadership and potential fit with the City of Woodland," according to a press release.
The city has not released the names of the finalists yet nor revealed how many will appear in public. The city is looking for a replacement for Phil Crochet, who resigned at the end of last year.
