A Columbia Security employee on duty Thursday performed CPR on an unconscious victim of a car accident at the Triangle Center mall in Longview and revived the man by the time medics arrived.
Officer Travis Backstrom noticed a minor vehicle collision and an unconscious driver around 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot, according to a Columbia Security press release.
Backstrom and two other witnesses removed the victim from the vehicle, and then he performed lifesaving efforts, according to Columbia Security.
Once on the scene, professional medical personnel spent about 10 minutes stabilizing the victim before bringing him to the hospital, according to a press release.
Further information on the victim's condition was not available at this time.
