Longview Street Crimes Unit detectives nabbed a Kelso woman on suspicion of murder-for-hire as she was in the act of stalking her potential victim with a loaded handgun, police said in a news release.
The Street Crimes Unit had been investigating Amanda Marie Kirwan, 25, in connection with a criminal solicitation case when detectives learned that Kirwan planned to kill another person, police said. No one was killed in either case.
Detectives issued an all-points bulletin for Kirwan and caught her Friday night in Longview. The dispatch report warned police that Kirwan had been recently seen with a firearm and “actually pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger.”
She was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail on suspicion of criminal solicitation for murder and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
Police released minimal details upon arrest but said more information would be released Tuesday.
