Weapon display

A Longview man said a man pulled a handgun on him around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday after he asked the man for a cigarette near the Burger King in the 3000 block of Ocean Beach Highway, Longview. Police searched the area but were unable to find to find anyone matching the assailant’s description.

Window broken

Longview police say Robert E. Beard, 23, punched and smashed the window of a stopped, occupied pickup at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Washington Way shortly before 2:40 p.m. Tuesday. A man sitting inside the pickup was reported to have glass in his eyes, according to a dispatch report. Police said the truck’s occupant and Beard may have exchanged words before the incident. Beard, whose city of residence was not available, was arrested and later released while officers investigated the matter further. A police spokesman said Beard is expected to face charges.

Drug paraphernalia found

A previous tenant of an apartment in the 1900 block of 33rd Avenue, Longview, left behind portions of plants from a marijuana grow operation as well as more than 80 needles and other drug paraphernalia, according to a dispatch report. A Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office evidence clerk picked collected the items, which will be destroyed.

Stolen vehicle arrest

Longview police arrested Cody Allen Kessler, 24, of Battle Ground Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and a felony drug violation.

Burglary arrest

Longview police arrested Charles David Gaultier, 47, of Longview on Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree burglary. Gaultier also had a warrant for third-degree theft.

Vehicle prowling arrest

Longview police arrested Alan Lee Cline, 25, of Vancouver on Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree vehicle prowling, third-degree theft, second-degree possession of stolen property and second-degree attempted vehicle prowling.

Street crimes heroin bust

The Longview Police Street Crimes Unit recovered heroin, drug packaging material, scales and other drug paraphernalia after serving a search warrant Wednesday at the Economy Inn Motel, 1808 Hemlock St. Officers arrested Angela Lynn Hylton, 32, Rainier, on suspicion of possession of heroin with intent to deliver.

Criminal impersonation arrest

Longview police arrested Juan Armando Rodriguez, 35, of Kelso on Thursday on suspicion of first-degree criminal impersonation, obstructing a law enforcement officer and a felony drug violation. Rodriguez also had a warrant for making false statements.

Street crimes meth bust

The Longview Police Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant Tuesday at 93 Dirk Lane, Kelso, where detectives recovered methamphetamine, drug packaging material, scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Patricia Alejandre, 50, and Domingo Rios-Gomez, 44, were arrested on suspicion of meth possession.
