T. Wade Parker, 88 of Cathlamet died Dec. 2nd at the Hospice Care Center.
Wade was born March 19, 1929, in Sylva, N.C., to Aaron and Pansy (Owens) Parker. He attended school in Cullowhee, N.C., and in 1947 he married Mildred Adams in Clayton, Ga.
In 1957 they moved to Cathlamet and Wade worked for Crown Zellerbach as a log truck driver and equipment operator until 1985. For five years he was employed by Bornsted Logging, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed mechanic work, hunting, fishing, camping, and time with his granddaughter Erin.
Wade is survived by a son, Tom Parker of Cathlamet; a sister, Lynda Cothren of Puget Island, Wash.; a brother, Rick Parker of Longview; his granddaughter, Erin Parker of Cathlamet; and many nieces and nephews.
Wade was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred in 2002; a brother, Wayne; and a sister, Jorettta Brown.
A nichside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
