Kelly Estep

Kelly Larry Elmer Estep was born in Longview to Kelly Hermance of Hillsboro, Ore., and Lisa Eichelberger of Kennewick, Wash. He lived in Longview most of his life, and was recently living in the Tri Cities.

He has a sister, Heather Eichelberger of Biloxi, Miss., she affectionately called him Booger. Kelly has a nephew and Niece, K’Lee and Kalab. Kelly also has extended family, Steve and Ellen Huffman of Longview. When he was younger he would say, “I’m special. I have two moms.” Also in that family he has cousins, who he asked to be his sisters, Malya Howaida, Maryam Hull and Caisse Sinner, all of Richland, Wash. Another cousins, Suhayl Hawaida of Mesa, Ariz., said, “Kelly was like my little brother.”

He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Rafael and Lynn Zamudio of Kennewick, Vickie Bird of Olympia, Joe Scott of Longview, Ryan Almos, Rebecca and Joe Viscuso of Longview and many cousins. Jennifer Iverson and Cassy Gullard were close family also.

Kelly grew up attending the Coal Creek Kingdom Hall. He was very loved. Once at a convention he said, “These are all my brothers and sisters!” He grew up with many friends, too many to name. He had a best friend, Mikiah, and a friend, Jessica, who really loved him.

Kelly received his GED from Lower Columbia College. He attended vocational training and learned many skills. Kelly loved the outdoors, dirt bike riding, snowboarding, camping and fishing. He collected lures. He had a very special dog for 16 years, Flower. He loved lizards and snakes. He was especially fond of his bearded dragon, Romeo. His recent pet was a black scorpion. He was sweet and quiet.

He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Christie Scott; his grandparents, Larry and Susan Estep, and Carl and Dorthy Huffman; and his great-grandmother, Ellen Almos.

A memorial service is planned for 4 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Country Run Apartments Recreation Room, 120 Solomon Road, in Kelso. Gerry Parmley will officiate.
