Linda Elaine DeWeert passed away June 19, 2012, from a heart attack.

Linda was born May 15, 1951, in Kenmare, N.D., and soon after moved with her family to Longview. Born Linda Elaine Masters, daughter of John and Bette Masters, she graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1970.

On Aug. 31, 1974, Linda married Arthur James DeWeert and they resided in Kelso for the duration of their lives.

Linda enjoyed time with her grandsons and kids, casino trips with friends, chatting on the phone, anything to do with Dachshunds, and decorating the house for holidays. Her friends often commented on her generosity and mischievous spirit which led to many hours of laughter.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Art and her parents.

She leaves behind three children, Travis DeWeert and Leslie DeWeert-Gorley, both of Kelso, and Lacey DeWeert of Woodland; two wonderful grandsons, Chazz and Kody DeWeert, both of Kelso; three brothers, Duane Masters, Danny Masters and Darvin Masters, all of Longview; and her dear friends, Darlene "Rappy" Rapanna and Kathy Newell.

A celebration of Linda’s life is planned for 3 p.m. July 28 at the Longshore Hall in Longview. All who knew Linda are invited to attend.

Arrangements are by Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home.
