Rand and Gail Crandall of Castle Rock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a private family gathering in Olympia and a trip to Canyonlands, UT. They were married August 5, 1966 at the Kelso Courthouse by Judge Huntington with a reception at the Longshore Hall. They met at a dance at the YMCA in 1960.
Rand was a shift maintenance foreman for Longview Fibre for 30 years before retiring in 1997. He enjoys playing banjo, engraving firearms, machine shop, welding, garage sales, hunting, fishing, and going to the gun range.
Gail was an accountant for the Columbia and Cowlitz County railways for 32 years until retiring in 1998. She enjoys traveling, real estate, making Victorian lampshades, walking, and garage sales.
Rand and Gail’s children are Lori (Bill) Graham of Rainier and Rod (Angela) Wastradowski of Castle Rock. They also have 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchilren.
