On Feb. 23, 2017, Dick and Pat Miller celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Married in 1957 in North Hollywood, Calif., they lived in the Los Angeles area for 21 years before beginning an interesting period wherein they lived in Vermont, Tennessee and Florida prior to retiring in Castle Rock in 1993. The couple has four sons and four grandchildren.
Pat, a former airline stewardess, was a full-time mother augmented with interesting church and civic activities, plus traveling throughout Europe and the Far East. She has been active in local organizations, including the Association of University Women, LINK, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Cowlitz County Republican Central Committee.
Dick spent 40 years in international aerospace marketing and contract administration. Since coming to Cowlitz County he has been a Republican state committeeman, president of the Cowlitz Game & Anglers, range master of the Cowlitz Public Shooting Range, a hunter education instructor, and a member of Discovery Club and numerous civic committees.
